Do I need a makeup and hair preview/trial?
I do get this question frequently, and while it’s certainly not required, it is for peace of mind :) I have had brides that were from out-of-town and were unable to travel for the preview, so I just make sure to allow for a bit more time for any adjustments, and to have a lot of communication before hand. If you think you are a bit more particular, I highly recommend to do it!
How long is a bridal makeup or hair preview?
Typically, a preview for make-up and hair takes about 3 hours so we can try a few things. If it is just one service, plan on 2 hours.
Will you hold my wedding date?
Your wedding date is locked in only once the contact has been signed and the 25% deposit has been made. I will however make a note of “pending trials” and reach out if someone also has made an inquiry for your date.
Where will the trial be held? Do you travel to me?
I am a mobile service only, so I travel to the client for all appointments.
Do you offer Airbrush?
I offered Airbrush for many years, but ultimately I decided I didn’t love working with it. I prefer being able to choose a traditional formula that suits each client’s needs.
What are you doing to protect your clients?
Standard Universal Precautions have always been of the utmost importance to me. I am certified in the Fashion Makeup Artistry course from MUD in Burbank and this is what your learn about the very first week. Throughout my career in cosmetics, it was equally important to keep the clients safe. All surfaces will be cleaned with 70% alcohol, and makeup brushes are disnifected with Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner as well as sanitized with UV light. I have also Completed the Barbicide courses and use it to sanitize all hair brushes, hair clips and tweezers.
Can I add/remove services from my contract?
Once you have signed or contract and sent in your retainer, you may add services but not remove them.
